Ingredients
- Chicken: 1kg
- Onion: 4
- Ginger garlic paste: 2 tbsp
- Tomato: 1 big
- Oil: 8tbsp
- Clove: 6 Nos
- Cinnamon: 2 in
- Bay leaf: 1
- Green Cardamom: 2
- Black cardamom: 1
- Turmeric: 3 tsp
- Chilli powder: 1tsp
- Cumin powder: 1tsp
- Coriander powder: 2tsp
- Kasuri methi: 2tsp
- Garam masala: 2tsp
- Salt: to taste
Procedure
- Heat oil in the cooker.
- Add all the whole spices (clove, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf) and fry little bit
- Add chopped onion and fry till dark brown
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes away
- Fry tomato till it becomes soft
- Add turmeric, chilli powder, Cumin powder and coriander powder and cook for 30 seconds
- Add chicken and salt and fry for 5 minutes
- Add half litre water and cook in a pressure cooker for 10 mins
- Open the pressure cooker add kasuri methi and garam masala and heat for 10 minutes
