Lemon Rice

Cooking Time: 30

Ingredients

  1. Rice : 1 cup
  2. Water: 2.5 cup water
  3. Salt: To Taste
  4. Oil: 2 tbsp
  5. Mustard seeds: 0.5 tsp
  6. Urad Dal: 1 tsp
  7. Chana Dal: 2 tsp
  8. Red chilli: 2
  9. Curry leaves: 10
  10. Hing: 1 pinch
  11. Haldi: 0.25 tsp
  12. Lemon: 1 large

Procedure

  1. Cook rice. It has to be a little softer than regular eating. Add salt to taste while cooking rice.
  2. Spread rice in order to cool it. Break curry leaves in hot rice.
  3. For Tadka heat Oil
    • Mustard seeds: 0.5 tsp
    • Red chili: 2
    • Hing: 1 pinch
    • Lemon: 1 large
    • Urad Dal: 1 tsp
    • Chana Dal: 2 tsp
  4. Mix this tadka in the cooled rice.
  5. Add Turmeric and Lemon and mix it well.
  6. Add salt to taste.
