Chicken Curry (Thick)

Ingredients

  1. Oil: 1 tbsp
  2. Cinnamon Sticks: 1 in
  3. Jeera: 2 tsp
  4. Cardamom Green: 3
  5. Cardomom Black: 1
  6. Red chili: 2
  7. Whole Pepper: 0.5tsp
  8. Onion: 2 large
  9. Green chili: 2
  10. Ginger garlic paste: 1tsp
  11. Chicken : 500 gms
  12. Tomato: 2
  13. Salt
  14. Turmeric: .5 tsp
  15. Coriander powder: 1tsp
  16. Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
  17. Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
  18. Kashmiri chili : 1tbsp
  19. Curd(optional): 1/2 cup
  20. Chicken masala: 1tbsp
  21. Garam masala: 1/2 tsp

Procedure

  1. Heat oil
  2. Add whole spice and cook slightly till it splutters
    • Cinnamon Sticks: 1 in
    • Jeera: 2 tsp
    • Cardamom Green: 3
    • Cardomom Black: 1
    • Red chili: 2
    • Whole Pepper: 0.5tsp
  3. Fry onion and green chilli
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and shortly afterwards add chicken
  5. Fry tomato till mushy
  6. Add Salt to taste and the following spices
    • Turmeric: .5 tsp
    • Coriander powder: 1tsp
    • Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
    • Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
    • Kashmiri chili : 1tbsp
  7. Cook for sometime with closed lid
  8. Open and add the following to finish the cooking
    • Curd(optional): 1/2 cup
    • Chicken masala: 1tbsp
    • Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
