Ingredients
- Toor / Masoor Dal: 4 tbsp
- Tomato : 3 big
- Onion : 1 big
- Ounty powder: 1 tsp
- Curry leaves: 10
- Haldi: 0.25 tsp
- Hing: 1 pinch
- Mustard: 0.5 tsp
- Urad dal: 0.5 tsp
- Red chili: 1 or 2
- Oil: 2 tbsp
Procedure
- In a cooker heat oil.
- Make a tadka using :
- Mustard: 0.5 tsp
- Urad dal: 0.5 tsp
- Haldi: 0.25 tsp
- Hing: 1 pinch
- Curry leaves: 10
- Fry Red chili
- Fry Onion till it turns glassy
- Add Tomato and fry till it becomes mushy
- Add Ounty powder and cook 5 mins
- Add dal and water and cook for 3 whistles
